How to work out what you need

Most parts sellers make you do the engineering. They list a hole spacing and expect you to go outside with a tape measure, or they hand you a form asking for overall edge length, hole count, bolt size and centre-to-centre spacing.

Send us a photograph of the worn part instead. Tell us the machine and the attachment it came off, and we will tell you which one you need.

Which teeth for your ground

  • Sand and loam — standard cup teeth. Fastest dig.
  • Clay — shark teeth. Cup teeth pack and stop cutting.
  • Rock and frost — carbide. Anything else burns through two sets in a day.

Wrong teeth in rock is the most expensive mistake in trenching, and it is the one nobody asks about at the point of sale.
