Attachments for a Kubota SVL75-3

Kubota SVL75-3 — 19.2 GPM standard, 29.8 GPM high flow, 3,185 psi. GPM means gallons per minute — how much hydraulic oil (the fluid that powers attachments) the machine pushes out. PSI means pounds per square inch — how hard that oil pushes. This is one of the most common track loaders on any job site, and the machine behind a warning we repeat a lot: two tenths of a gallon.

Runs on standard flow (19.2 GPM)

• Pallet forks, rock bucket, and snow pusher — no hydraulics needed. They bolt straight on.
• Root grapple, needs 12–25 GPM — yes.
• Auger drive, needs 10–25 GPM — yes. No case drain needed — it runs a gear motor, not a piston motor.
• Backhoe, needs 10–25 GPM — yes.
• Concrete mixer, needs 10–25 GPM — yes.
• Snow plough, needs 10–25 GPM — yes.
• Trencher, needs 16–30 GPM — yes. Needs a case drain too.
• Brush cutter, needs 17–30 GPM — yes.
• Stump grinder, needs 18–35 GPM — yes. Needs a case drain too.

Will not run, even on high flow

• Forestry mulcher, needs 30–45 GPM — no. Your best circuit is 29.8 GPM. The mulcher needs 30.

Two tenths of a gallon. That sounds like nothing. It isn't. A motor built for 30 GPM and fed 29.8 spins slower than it was designed for. It works harder to hold its cut, and it heats the oil doing it. That kind of failure is slow, and it usually gets blamed on the operator instead of the flow rate.

The pressure figure most people skip

• This machine runs at 3,185 psi. That's comfortably inside what most attachments are built to handle.
• Some machines run above 4,000 psi. On those, you can match the GPM number perfectly and still push too hard, and burn out a motor that way.
• Worth checking, and almost nobody does.

How much weight it can lift

Lift capacity, or ROC (rated operating capacity), is the safe weight limit a manufacturer sets for a machine. Go past it and the machine gets unstable.

The SVL75-3 has an ROC of 2,490 lb. Our rock bucket needs a machine rated at 2,000 lb ROC or higher. This machine clears that, with about 490 lb of margin to spare — real, but not huge. If you load the bucket heavy every time, keep that number in mind.

How attachments mount

The SVL75-3 uses the Universal Skid Steer quick-attach plate — the same style of mount used across almost every full-size brand. It's a full-size track loader, not a mini, so this is the plate you'll be ordering attachments for.
