Attachments for an ASV RT-120

ASV RT-120 — 20.0 GPM standard, 45.0 GPM high flow, 4,060 psi. GPM means gallons of hydraulic oil per minute — it's what powers an attachment's moving parts. 45 GPM is the highest number in our whole lineup. On this machine, the real risk is too much flow, not too little.

Runs on standard flow (20.0 GPM)

• Pallet forks, rock bucket, snow pusher — these don't use hydraulics. They just bolt on.
• Root grapple, 12–25 GPM — yes.
• Auger drive, 10–25 GPM — yes. No case drain needed — it runs a gear motor, not a piston motor.
• Backhoe, concrete mixer, snow plough, 10–25 GPM — all yes.
• Trencher, 16–30 GPM — yes. Case drain required.
• Brush cutter, 17–30 GPM — yes.
• Stump grinder, 18–35 GPM — yes. Case drain required.

Needs high flow (45.0 GPM)

• Forestry mulcher, 30–45 GPM — yes. It's the only attachment we sell that should ever run on this circuit.

The real warning on this machine: too much flow

• 45 GPM is higher than every attachment we sell can handle, except the mulcher.
• Pushing 45 GPM into a motor built for 30 doesn't make it work harder. It spins the motor too fast, heats up the oil, and wears the attachment out early.
• Leave your flow selector on standard for everything except the mulcher.
• Most guides only warn you about too little flow. Too much flow breaks things just as fast, and almost nobody mentions it.

Pressure: the other number to check

• This machine runs at 4,060 psi. Psi measures how hard the oil pushes, not how much of it flows.
• Many attachments are only built for about 3,500 psi.
• You can match the flow perfectly and still push an attachment past its pressure limit.
• Ask us for the pressure rating before you order anything.

How much weight it can lift

The RT-120's rated operating capacity — its safe working load, not the point it would tip — is 3,535 lb at the standard rating. Pushed to the higher 50% rating, it's 5,050 lb. Tipping load itself is 10,100 lb — the point where the front end starts to lift off the ground if you keep loading it.

Our rock bucket needs at least 2,000 lb of lift capacity to run safely. The RT-120 clears that by over 1,500 lb. No concern here.

How it hooks up to attachments

The RT-120 uses ASV's universal quick-attach plate — the same industry-standard mount you'll find on Bobcat, Case, Deere, and most other full-size machines. If an attachment fits one of those, the plate fits this machine too. Mini skid steers use a different, smaller plate, but the RT-120 is a full-size machine, so that's not a concern here.
