Bobcat T66 vs T740 — what each one can actually run
These two sit next to each other on a dealer lot and the spec sheets look similar. On attachments they are not close. The T740 runs things the T66 cannot, even with the high-flow option paid for on both.

The 26.9 problem
26.9 GPM is the lowest high-flow figure of any machine we have specced. Attachments written for "high flow" are usually designed around 35 or 40 GPM, because that is what most machines deliver. A T66 owner who paid extra for the high-flow option still sits below the entry point for a good deal of it.
The clearest example is a forestry mulcher. Ours needs 30–45 GPM. The T66 tops out at 26.9 and the T740 at 30.5. One of these machines clears the minimum by half a gallon; the other misses it by three, and no adapter closes that gap.
What both will run
Most of the catalogue, and this is worth saying plainly rather than talking you into the bigger machine. On standard flow the T66's 17.6 GPM clears pallet forks, rock buckets, root grapples, augers, the backhoe, the concrete mixer, the snow plough and the snow pusher. The brush cutter needs 17–30 and the T66 sits inside it.
If your work is material handling, snow, digging or general site work, the T66 is not holding you back.
Where the T740 pulls away
Land clearing. The mulcher is the only attachment in our catalogue that the T66 cannot run under any configuration, and it is also the one that bills at the highest day rate. If mulching is on your horizon, that single fact is worth more than every other difference between these machines.
Too much flow is also a failure
Neither of these is at risk of it, but it applies when you compare either against something bigger. Feeding 36 GPM into a motor rated for 30 overspeeds it and cooks the oil. On a T740 you can run the trencher on standard flow but should not run it on high flow — 30.5 GPM sits at the top of its 16–30 range.
Not sure which you have
The flow figure is on the machine's plate, and the option list on a build sheet does not always match what was fitted. Send the model and the serial to support@rightfitattachments.com and we will check it against the manufacturer sheet before you order anything.
