Attachments for a Bobcat T86

Bobcat T86 — 23.0 GPM standard, 36.6 GPM high flow, 42 GPM super flow. GPM means gallons of hydraulic oil per minute — what powers an attachment. Three settings, and the third one is a problem the attachment market hasn't caught up with yet.

Runs on standard flow (23.0 GPM)

• Pallet forks, rock bucket, snow pusher — no hydraulics needed.
• Root grapple, 12–25 GPM — yes.
• Auger drive, 10–25 GPM — yes. No case drain needed — it runs a gear motor, not a piston motor.
• Backhoe, concrete mixer, snow plough, 10–25 GPM — all yes.
• Trencher, 16–30 GPM — yes. Case drain required.
• Brush cutter, 17–30 GPM — yes.
• Stump grinder, 18–35 GPM — yes. Case drain required.

Needs high flow (36.6 GPM)

• Forestry mulcher, 30–45 GPM — yes.

About that third setting: Super Flow

• Your machine offers a third setting Bobcat calls Super Flow, at 42 GPM.
• Almost nothing in the attachment market is rated against that word. Manufacturers write "standard" or "high flow" on their spec sheets and stop there.
• 42 GPM is higher than every attachment we sell can handle, except the mulcher.
• Check your build sheet to see if you have it. If you do, treat it as a setting to use on purpose for the mulcher — not one to leave selected by default.

How much weight it can lift

The T86's rated operating capacity — its safe working load — is 3,800 lb. Pushed to the higher 50% rating, it's 5,597 lb. Tipping load, the point where the front end starts to come up, is 11,194 lb.

Our rock bucket needs at least 2,000 lb of lift capacity. The T86 clears that by 1,800 lb. No concern here.

How it hooks up to attachments

The T86 uses Bobcat's standard universal quick-attach plate — the same industry-standard mount used across most full-size machines from other brands too. Bobcat does build a handful of smaller "mini" track loaders that use a different, smaller plate, but the T86 isn't one of them. It takes the same plate as everything else in this catalogue.
